Tank Masters Guild Info
History
Tank Masters was founded in 2006 by War JOHN. When Factions came out, Tank Masters sided with the Luxons until several members maxed their Luxon rank. We are currently a Kurzick guild in pursuit of fun, treasure, and the plunder of all enemies of the Kurzick Empire.
Events
The purpose of a good Guild and Alliance is to enhance the Guild Wars experience. In addition to the social interaction of being in a Guild, players benefit from learning from each other’s expertise, swapping builds and trading weapons/equipment.
Keeping sight on the never-ending goal of having fun, we try to periodically have spontaneous events (Guild Hall parties, Swap meets, give-aways, etc), the additional Events help add even more fun to the game. Be sure to read up on the rules and make a point to play in the Scavenger Hunt, Hide-and-Seek, and take a chance to be the “Big Winner” in the Lotto….you just might find that not only was it fun, but very profitable!
In the PvP realm, in addition to impromptu calls for Alliance Battle (AB) and Zaishen Elite (ZE) teams, we have a monthly Fight Club (1v1 & 4v4) and a weekly BYOB. The BYOB (Bring-Your-Own-Build) is a sand-lot style mixed-team GvG battle…be sure to join in for some chaotic fun.
In addition to story-line PvE, we have been doing a lot of hard-mode Vanquishing, Drazach Thicket Speed Clear (DSC/DTSC), and Urgoz runs as these are profitable, fun, and earn large Kurzick faction bonuses. Domain of Anguish and various Dungeon runs are informally organized. Watch Guild and Alliance chat for forming teams.
Guild Rules
Although Kurzick faction generation/donation is highly encouraged for the health of the Guild and Alliance, we do not have a daily faction requirement. The only requirement is to have fun and support fellow guildies. At times however, we may have faction drives to obtain a town so we can all buy lockpicks and salvage kits at reduced prices.…And to have a new place to party!
The Tank Masters Guild is run on the premise that we are all here to have a good time. Light humor and teasing is all part of the fun…like when Sorceress was temporary Guild Leader and redesigned the cape making us all wear pink bubble gum for the day. We all work too hard in school, jobs, or in our daily lives not to enjoy our time in Guild Wars.
There is too much vulgarity, swearing, and personal attacks in the real world, and so, Guild members are highly encouraged to refrain from such activity…or risk ejection from the Guild. We therefore support Alliance rules: 1) Follow the Golden Rule treat others like you would like to be treated; 2) Discuss problems in private…not on Alliance Chat (AC) or Guild Chat; and 3) Warnings from Guild or Alliance officers should be respected, or risk being kicked from the Guild.
Officership
Running a Guild can be quite challenging at times. In order to promote equity and fairness, major decisions, including activity policy and promotions, etc. will be voted on by Guild Officers.
Promotion to an officer position must be earned and there must be a valid need in the Guild for an additional officer. No one will be considered for an officer's position until they have shown themselves worthy and have received the endorsement of a majority of current officers. Officer candidates should have something exceptional to contribute to the Guild such as PvE guide/escort, recruiting, guild administration/leadership, etc. We have an informal saying: “If they have to ask to be promoted, they probably are not officer material.”
Being a Guild Officer carries a lot of responsibility and at times, can be a lot of work. Officers may be asked to contribute time and/or gold for Guild and Alliance events and activities. In addition to being active, friendly and helpful to members and each other, officers are responsible for enforcing Guild and Alliance rules. If an officer observes inappropriate behavior, it is their responsibility to whisper the member and remind them of Guild and Alliance policies. Members are encouraged to do the same. Simply being online does not constitute activity.
Officers should routinely help members, monitor Guild and Alliance chat and answer questions.
Anyone who wishes to become an officer and remain an officer once promoted must adhere to these policies.
Please feel free to forward any comments/suggestions to Nervo, Sorceress or other officers in the game.
