Well just got a breif thought about the races in GW2 since I remebered that the Charr dont worship any Gods (after the EoTN quest Assualt on the Stronghold) that they probably wont be using the Dervish profession that gave me an idea that maybe every race will have specific professions. Or maybe they will have somthing else to replace the skill and avatars like MOX.

Avatar of Kormir
20 energy
1 sec cast time
30 sec recharge

Elite Form: You become the avatar of Kormir. Every time you are hit all nearby foes suffer from weakness and bleeding for 5...10...15 secs and all your skills are recharged. This skill is diabled for 120 seconds.

Dont you guys think the avatar of Grenth is the most crappiest form at least they should make it unblockable completly not if the have an enchantment on them that way stances are a no go against Ava of Grenth.

hey Jason, you bring a good point
its true, the Charr no longer have 'Gods' after Pyre rallies the Charr against the Hierphants
but here is another thing to think about
can you honestly see an Asura Warrior?
i know some of them around EoTN wield swords and what not
but seriosuly, can you really picture an Asuran Warrior??
maybe each race will have limited classes they can choose(again similar to WoW)
like, Humans would have probably most of them! if not all
but the Charr with most likely not include some like Assassin, Dervish, Paragon, and possibly no Monks either(since Monks are Divine and the Charr worship no gods), leaving only Warrior, Elementalist, Mesmer, Ranger, Necromancer, and Ritualist(most likely the main healers)
the Asura would be best as Elementalists, Mesmers, Necromancers(the basic casters of the game)
the new Sylvari would probably best themselves as Rangers/ Elementalists, and maybe even Paragon(i believe i read somewhere they are a tightly knit race)

lol! Booka!
you trying to me you cant think of something you would like to see in the game
doesnt need to be a skill
doesnt need to be a profession
might be a change in AI for H/H(although thats a given) but maybe you got a good suggestion
or maybe you would like a revision on a current class, in a way you think it would be better!! Very Happy

btw i think i got a good class idea
some kind of a Ranged/Melee class
their main weapon can be used as a Ranged Weapon and a Melee Weapon
the weaponry standardly attacks in a Melee range, but using skills, it can use Ranged attacks(whether its arrows, magic, w/e)
not to sure how it would work
but that would be awesome!!!

that would be nice
but you know what their gonna do
their gonna make it for like the elite, its probably a specialty you must learn
not just a naturaly thing like Assassins can dual wield daggers
or anyone can for that matter

Re: Suggestions

Post by Guest on Mon Oct 13, 2008 6:29 pm

I dont think that theres gonna be a dual wield thats gonna make assassins look bad and left out......
For another profession.....wow i really cnat think of one i mean i really got to give it up for GW they made up some good ones. i thought of one like a martial artist or something one that doesnt use weapons only hands and feet (but what about trying to punch a 3 inch thick steel armor?) then i tried to think up of a professions that uses the BIG spears (not like paras) that has to be weilded with 2 hands and can be able to attack from a distance with melee (but what if they fight a melee profession up close? wouldnt make sense to back up then stab them and then repeat-lmao i tried to picture that in my head and almost spit out my juice) then i thought baout a chain and mal lweapon thingies for a profession with either a blunt object at the end of the chain or a sharp object at the end of the chain ( but it'll be a bit like a warrior when it comes to the weapons and how its used like the chain witrh the blunt object tat the end is like a hammer and the other thing is like a sword or axe) or a profession that can use the elementsa and trnasfrom it as a weapon (but we have conjures for that)
TOO MUCH IDEAS and i always think of a downfall for it hope GW can make somthing good i'll try to think up of a GOOD one.

Re: Suggestions

Post by Guest on Mon Oct 13, 2008 6:57 pm

ideally, you know what i would love to see as profession...
anyone here who knows(and if not go look it up)
are classes similar to that of .Hack//GU
1. Blade Brandier-swordsman
2. Edge Punisher-two handed swordsman
3. Twin Blade-dual swords
4. Flick Reaper-scythe wielder
5. Lord Partizan-large spear
6. Tribal Grappler-hand to hand combat
7. Macabre Dancer-ailment caster
8. Harvest Cleric-healer
9. Shadow Warlock-mage
10. Steam Gunner-melee equal to Shadow Warlock
11. Adept Rogue-'Jack of all Trades' up to 3 different classes, weaker than the class itself

now obviously they wont be using these exactly
but, you can figure out about a dozen ways to alter them in the way GW works and having them very similar
of course probably not function the same way
but it just seems almost the perfect class, everything has an opposite
and each can opose itself
heheh, if Bandai ever releases an acctually MMO like the .Hack//GU series....you will be watching my ass go in that direction Very Happy

ok quick add on
in the game there are bits of objects similar(if not exactly) like gun powder
why not give us a gunner class, at least restrict it to the humans
(heheh im sure the Asura could come up with something better)
in the 1st NF mission you use 'Istani Fire Oil' to blow up the corsair ships....why not give us a new, or alternate, ranged class(maybe secondary to Ranger, if not replacing the Bow and Arrow deal)(that reminds me...lets hope we dont have to purchase arrows in GW2, heard rumors GW started like that, but was quickly removed)

Re: Suggestions

That would be so messed up if they did then they would have to have arrows that deal different damage and different speeds and would have to have weapons that wear out this would proabably be too much for the people who cant make alot of money

arrows of different dmg and speeds???
thats all from the bow
the bow is what does it, not the arrows..arrows are effected when you use a preparation, like Apply Poison, it creates poison tipped arrows

( i dont know what the hell i did but it refreshed my page and i had to write this all over again Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad so plz excuse any misspellings and some things might not make sense)
Took a while think it up
Knife thrower profession:
A swaggering knife thrower uses taunts and tricks to turn the tide of battle to their favor.

Arc: none must be a straight path
Attack speed: same as spear

Skills:
Lock on:

Elite stance: For 5...10...15 seconds you have 10..15...30% more chance land a critical while wielding a knife

Taunt: You know how it goes skils the relate to taunts blah blah blah
Skills:
"Stop trying to hit us and hit us!"(Matrix! cheers )
5 energy
20 sec recharge
1/4 sec cast time
Taunt: Target foe attacks 33...25...15% faster and has 50...65...75% chance of missing this lasts for 10 seconds.

This profession worships Kormir mostly though they might seem a bit mean but their knowledge in battle they belive comes from Kormir. As for the emotes i'll put my thoughts into some
Violin- plays the world smallest violin(you know this one)
dance males- Fresh Prince of Bel-Air dance to "jump on it" if you dont know it look it up on youtube
